Weekly Classes & Ensembles:

MCE Classes and Ensembles are held at: MYArts, 1055 E Mifflin St, Rooms 1A-1D

Tuesdays, January 14th to June 3rd

Book 1 (Ages 4+), Basic technique and repertoire, 5:30-6:25pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 1 / Book 2 to Book 3 (Ages 6-11), 5:30-6:25pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 2 / Late Book 2 to Early Book 5 (Ages 11-14), 5:30-7:00pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 3 / Book 4 and Beyond (Ages 14-18), 6:30-8:20pm, Tuesdays

Adult Ensemble at Muso, – Tuesdays 1:30pm or 3:00pm  text 608-513-4763 to confirm time 

Monthly Workshops:

April 22nd, 5:30pm:  Improvisation workshop (MYArts 1D)

May 27th, 5:30pm: Music & Mindfulness workshop (MYArts, 1D)

Concerts:

April 6th, 3:00pm : IST Recital (Oakwood Village East) – by teacher recommendation

April 11th, 4:30pm:  ZouZou’s Solo Graduate Recital, Hamel Music Center, Coordinate ride with Beth

April 24th, Madison Children’s Museum, free to all MCE families and guests – Badgerland Family Fun Night 4-7, Perform 6:00-6:30 call time 5:30pm. wear t-shirts

May 17th,  ALL Studio Solo Recitals, WYSO Blue Studio, Second Floor, sign up with using the form on website and confirm with teacher – recitals  1:00pm and 3:00pm Reception 2:15  for all

June 7th, 3:00pm: MCE Concert and Family Picnic and Senior Graduation – ALL (Hoyt Park Pavilion)

SUMMER EVENTS

June 21st –  Make Music Madison – ALL MCE Students  (sites and time TBD), Rehearsal  Tuesday,  June 17th , Beth’s House afternoon time tbd

July 17th- 20th MCE Cabin Retreat, Polonia, WI – Ensemble 2 & 3, ages and ages 10-12 with parent, rough camping with music under the big tent and stars –  family potluck and drop off Thursday, 7/17,  3-6pm, “Informance” and pick up Sunday, 7/20  noon.  Register here. 

 July 30th- August 2nd, Triple Forte Festival “fff” at MYArts and Lake Farm Festival Grounds in collaboration with the Sugar Maple Music  Festival.  All ages!

Guest artists “The Cody Sisters” register by April 1st for Early Bird rate with with QR code through Music con Brio!

August 11th- 15th  Save the dates for the 2nd Annual Chamber Music Immersion, Day camp – Madison, Wisconsin – Bethany United Methodist. Book 2 or ability  to read music. See flyer and registration form with QR code to register!
