Weekly Classes & Ensembles:

MCE Classes and Ensembles are held at: MYArts, 1055 E Mifflin St, Rooms 1A-1D

Tuesdays, January 14th to June 3rd

Book 1 (Ages 4+), Basic technique and repertoire, 5:30-6:25pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 1 / Book 2 to Book 3 (Ages 6-11), 5:30-6:25pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 2 / Late Book 2 to Early Book 5 (Ages 11-14), 5:30-7:00pm, Tuesdays

Ensemble 3 / Book 4 and Beyond (Ages 14-18), 6:30-8:20pm, Tuesdays

Monthly Workshops:

January 10th, 7:00pm: Soundbath (Muso) Optional free to MCE members, register at 608-513-4763

February 25th, 5:30pm: Bach workshop (MYArts, 1D)  

March 21st-22nd : Twin Cities Overnight Fieldtrip, with International Cello Institute (Tentative)

April 22nd, 5:30pm:  Improvisation workshop (MYArts 1D)

May 27th, 5:30pm: Music & Mindfulness workshop (MYArts, 1D)

Concerts:

February: WSMA District Solo & Ensemble, site and dates vary

February 7th, 5:00pm:  Ensemble 2 & 3 only, Community Outreach Monona Terrance fundraiser,

March 8th, TBD:  Bach Around The Clock (ALL students in Book 1 & Ensembles 1 & 2, Select Ensemble 3)

March 8th, 8:00am – 5:00pm : UW Whitewater Cello Fest (Select Ensemble 3 – High School Only) 

April 6th, 3:00pm : IST Recital (Oakwood Village East) – by teacher recommendation

April 11th, 6:45pm: ALL Students – Solo Recital (WYSO Building), 

May TDB: Mallard’s Game Fundraiser  – ALL

June 7th, 3:00pm: MCE Graduation Concert – ALL (Hoyt Park Pavilion)

June 21st: Make Music Madison- ALL (sites and time TBD)
